Supervisor Summer Programs

Supervisor Summer Program Details;

  • Duration: 16-20 weeks tbd.

  • Minimum 35 hrs per week, variable.

  • Start Date: April 22nd to May 1st, 2024 tbd.

  • Rate of Pay: Commensurate with experience.

  • Hours of Work: Office based 1:00pm - 8:00pm, Monday to Thursday plus some weekend hours.

  • Place of work: Monday to Thursday office based 1:00pm-4:30pm and on site 4:30pm onwards. Weekends variable based on hosting schedule. 

  • Reports to: Manager of Soccer Operations.

Duties

  • Coordination of Summer Program Operations including; Field (& Lights) scheduling for practises and games; Act as a Designated Point of contact for League Administrators & PSC Explosion coaches for scheduling changes.

  • Recreational Staff Supervision including; Assist with interview and hiring process and oversee staff orientation and training, Staff/Personnel assignments & scheduling, Identify and address staff performance concerns as required. Maintain a database of staff hours, Systematic tracking and recording of hours worked by staff, Ensuring timely submission of payroll.

  • Sunsplash Tournament Event Hosting Support including; Work with, assist and support the PSC Sunsplash Committee to plan and deliver on the hosting objectives and requirements of the tournament.   

  • Customer Service / Administrative Assistance including; Receive and action inquiries from the general public as required, Assist the PSC Administrative Officer with administrative duties as required.

  • Facilities, Site Security and Logistics including; Liaise with Town of Paradise or Club representatives regarding fields and facilities maintenance and / or safety concerns. Supervise coordination of site and building safety and security.  

  • Present Monthly Reports to Manager of Soccer Operations and/or Program Directors.

 

 


 

Coordinator - Recreational Programs (Two Positions)

(2 Positions) Coordinator - Recreational Programs (Two Positions Available) Details;

  • Duration: 12 weeks.

  • Minimum 35 hrs per week, variable.

  • Start Date: June 3rd to 10th, 2024 tbd.

  • Rate of Pay: Commensurate with experience.

  • Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday evenings plus weekends as scheduled.

  • Place of work: Monday to Thursday office based 2:00pm-4:00pm and on site 4:00pm-8:00pm, or later as scheduled. Weekends variable based on hosting schedule. 

  • Reports to: Supervisor Summer Programs.

Duties

 

  • Soccer 4 Fun Program & Staff Coordination including; Curriculum development, Technical Program design and delivery, providing direction to Instructors/Interns and hands on support during session delivery, Monitoring staff performance, attendance and punctuality and reporting issues to Supervisor Summer Programs, Meet with Supervisor weekly to provide feedback on program execution. .

  • Soccer 4 Fun Apparel Distribution including; Assist with the assignment of Players to Teams, Assist with inventory of Soccer 4 Fun jerseys/uniforms, Support the distribution of players' and staff  jerseys/uniforms.

  • Soccer 4 Fun Equipment Maintenance including; Daily Inventory and restocking of equipment packs as needed. Oversee processes of set up and tear down of soccer activities and equipment storage.

  • Rec Leagues Manager including; Ensuring the creation of balanced teams, Building Rec League schedules, Ensuring staff understand and execute hosting requirements

  • Program Health & Safety including; Ensuring staff adherence to Site Safety Protocols, such as Goal Post Safety, and identifying incidents of non-conformity, Inventory and management of Safety Equipment (First Aid Packs). 

  • Facilities, Site Security and Logistics including; Adhere to, monitor and report issues to supervisor regarding fields, facilities maintenance and / or safety concerns, Coordination of Site and Building Safety and Security (e.g., Locks and Alarms).

  • Field Marshall and/or Head Marshall when hosting Tournaments as and when scheduled.

 

 

 


 

Coordinator - Competitions, Leagues & Camps 

 

(1 Position) Coordinator - Competitions, Leagues & Camps Details;

  • Duration: 12 weeks.

  • Minimum 35 hrs per week, variable.

  • Start Date: June 3rd to 10th, 2024 tbd.

  • Rate of Pay: Commensurate with experience.

  • Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday evenings plus weekends as scheduled.

  • Place of work: Monday to Thursday office based as & when required, and on site 4:00pm onwards. Weekends variable based on hosting schedule. 

  • Reports to: Supervisor Summer Programs.

Duties

  • Explosion Competitions including;  Act as a designated point of contact for League Administrators, Communicating League Information/Updates to Explosion coaches, Communicating Tournament Rules and Regulations and other relevant documentation.
  • Hosting Logistics including; Work with Paradise Soccer Club executive & staff to ensure the highest standards in competitions hosting requirements (Tournaments and Leagues) throughout the summer, Ensuring Field Marshalls understand and execute hosting schedule assignments, roles and responsibilities, Monitor Staff Performance and report Issues to Supervisor, Dealing with general tournament logistics, signage, trophies and hosting site requirements, Coordinating the timely submission of End of Weekend Reports, Meet with the Supervisor to provide feedback on program delivery and staff execution, as it relates to this role.
  • Camps Coordination including; Support the Paradise Soccer Club Executive & Staff to coordinate a variety of soccer camps/programs throughout the summer. 
  • Program Health & Safety including; Ensuring staff adherence to Site Safety Protocols, such as Goal Post Safety, and identifying incidents of non-conformity, Inventory and management of Safety Equipment (First Aid Packs). 
  • Facilities, Site Security and Logistics including; Adhere to, monitor and report issues to supervisor regarding fields, facilities maintenance and / or safety concerns, Coordination of Site and Building Safety and Security (e.g., Locks and Alarms). Monitoring Field Usage and Lights schedule to ensure alignment with competition and training schedules.
  • Head Marshall when hosting Tournaments as and when scheduled.

 

 

 

 


 

Soccer Instructors

 

Instructor Position Details;

  • Duration: 10 weeks

  • 20 to 25 hrs per week, variable.

  • Start Date: June 17th, 2024 (Training dates in the week prior to be confirmed).

  • Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday Evenings plus additional weekdays & weekends as scheduled.

  • Reports to: Coordinators.

Duties

 

  • Take a lead role with the daily delivery of the Summer Soccer for Fun sessions teaching soccer skills to youth,
  • Assisting with the running of tournaments and special events,
  • Delivery of our soccer program to youth participants, supervising field activities, which includes skills, drill & games,
  • Head and assistant coaching roles within Rec session delivery plan, preparing field layout for sessions, setting up and dismantling equipment,
  • Field Marshalling for tournament and league hosting,
  • Adhere to safe work practices & procedures as outlined at orientation,

Soccer Interns

Intern Position Details;

  • 10 weeks

  • 15 to 20 hrs per week, variable.

  • Start Date: June 17th, 2024 (Training dates in the week prior to be confirmed).

  • Rate of Pay: $15.60 per hour.

  • Hours of Work: Two to four evenings per week (Monday to Thursday) plus weekends as scheduled.

  • Reports to: Coordinators

Duties

  • Assisting Instructors with the delivery of our soccer program to youth participants, which includes skills, drill & games. 

  • Providing cover for Instructors, ie taking head/assistant coach roles in supervising groups as needed.

  • Acting as Game Leaders to supervise scrimmages for Fundamentals Program.

  • Preparing for field layout sessions, setting up and dismantling equipment and placing or retrieving from storage.

  • Placing or collecting cones, and goals as directed by senior staff.

  • Field Marshall for Metro weekends.

  • Adhere to safe work practices & procedures as outlined at orientation.

  • Other duties assigned by your employer.
