Please note that for all age groups in the event of potential weather cancellations we will reschedule as needed to ensure that we hold at least a minimum of two sessions for every group. Additional sessions may also be scheduled at the clubs discretion.

Registration

New NLSA requirement for 2023: Before registering a player for any 2022/23 PSC program including Assessments/Tryouts, parents are required to complete the training course Respect in Sport for Parents. You will need your RIS # in order to complete registration. For more information and to access Respect in Sport for Parents - click here

INFORMATION ON SELECTION PROCESSES

PYL Team Selection Process

• Due to recent changes to the registration deadline for clubs to register teams for Provincial Leagues, clubs are now required to register PYL teams and players by October 31st.
• All players interested in playing PYL during the 2023 Summer Season are encouraged to attend our Fall Tryouts. 
• PSC are anticipating that there will be multiple teams in each age group for the 2023 PYL season. PSC Teams will be named prior to or on the October 31st deadline.
• Note: Indoor programs will commence November 7th. Selected players will receive a link to register for the indoor program with registration opening from November 1st to November 7th, 2022.
• Players will not be permitted to attend training until payment of registration is made, or a payment arrangement has been arranged.

 

Metro Team(s) Selection Process

U7 to U9 Age Groups (All):

• No Fall Assessments will be conducted and the Indoor Program will commence November 7th.
• Registration for indoor will open on September 24th (an update on training schedules will follow at a later date). Places will be filled on a first come first served basis and players will be placed in training pools for the indoor phase.
• Fall registrants will be placed on Metro Teams in the Spring ahead of the Summer 2023 Metro League season.
• Players will not be permitted to attend training until payment of registration is made, or a payment arrangement has been arranged.

U11 Age Group:

• Fall Assessments will be used to determine player pools/groupings for the Indoor Training Phase, with the indoor programs commencing November 7th.
• Only players registered for Fall Assessments will be invited to register for the Indoor season. A program registration link and password will be sent to all players that register for Assessments.
• U11 and younger players who participate in the indoor phase are guaranteed a spot on a Summer 2023 Metro Team. However, the summer teams will not be named until after Assessments in Spring 2023.
• The numbers of players and volunteer coaches available will be a consideration when deciding on the number of teams that will be enter into Metro League.
• Players interested to play summer soccer in 2023 are encouraged to register in the fall of 2022 as places may be limited in the spring.
• Players will not be permitted to attend training until payment of registration is made, or a payment arrangement has been arranged.

U13 Age Group and Older (Metro only)

• Registration will be open from November 1st to November 7th, and indoor programs will commence November 7th.
• After tryouts have concluded, selected players will be placed in an Indoor Training Pool. Selected Players will receive a link to register for the indoor program. Team Rosters for Summer 2023 Metro League play will be confirmed in the Spring.
• Players will not be permitted to attend training until payment of registration is made, or a payment arrangement has been arranged.
