Paradise Soccer Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Cameron Carpenter to the newly created role of Club Coach. Reporting to Alex McNutt, Manager of Soccer Operations, Cameron’s primary focus will be to support and enhance coaching development within our club. This year-round, part-time role has been introduced to further strengthen our existing coaching development programs.
Cameron brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as Technical Director with both Feildians and CBS Soccer Clubs in Newfoundland, as well as with various clubs in Ontario. He is currently a member of the NLSA Provincial Team and Indoor Performance Centre staff. Originally from Norwich, England, Cameron also served as a team coach within the Norwich City Academy.
"PSC has experienced record-setting growth over the past decade. The addition of Cameron to our technical staff reflects the ambition and commitment of the PSC Board to meet the demands of our expanding membership," stated Alex McNutt. "We are very excited about this appointment. It is a need we identified several years ago, but finding the right candidate was not easy. We sought to create a part-time role that complemented our existing structure, but required someone with the right qualities, experience, and interest. The timing aligned perfectly, and Cameron’s capacity and enthusiasm to take on this role make it an excellent fit. We look forward to the possibility of expanding this role in the future. I know everyone will join me in welcoming Cameron to the Paradise Soccer Club family."
In addition, Paradise Soccer Club is proud to announce the hiring of Matthew Hart in the new part-time role of Staff Coach, providing further technical support for our teams as we transition to the outdoor season and throughout the summer months.
Matthew is a long-time member of Paradise Soccer Club, having played at the Metro, PYL, Intermediate, and Challenge Cup levels. He also previously worked with the Club’s student summer staff program, eventually advancing to the role of Coordinator. Matthew is currently coaching our BU15 Championship team.
"We identified the need for additional technical support and secured funding through the Venture for Canada Internship Program to create this role," said Manager of Soccer Operations, Alex McNutt. "It is particularly rewarding to offer this opportunity to Matt, a promising young coach with deep roots in our club. His addition is another great step forward for PSC, and we are delighted to welcome Matt back to our staff."
